Want to be a Tata Zoo Keeper for a day?

Zoo keeping can be so much fun! After all who would not love to spend a day with animals that we mostly get to see in the wild, taking care of them and feeding them and knowing about their habits and habitat all day long!

The Tata Steel Zoological Park gives you a unique opportunity to be a keeper at our zoo for a day. So, whether you are a wild-life lover or an aspiring zoo keeper, you can take care of our zoo inmates under the supervision and guidance of our trained zoo keepers for a day. You can try out this action packed adventure even during your vacations!

Get close with the wild animals, birds, insects, reptiles and watch them in action all day!

What’s included?

  • Various animal encounters and mucking out activities.
  • Programme led by a friendly and experienced Tata Zoo personnel

  • A family pass for 4 people (non-transferable) for free entry to the Zoo for a month. (Calendar month)

Keeper for a Day: Rs. 1500/- (Non-refundable & includes refreshment)


09:00 am – 02:30 pm
Total duration: 05:30 hours

Frequency:The Keeper for a Day experience is available all-round the year on Tuesday and Saturday.


  • Participants must be over 16 years old, having a reasonable level of fitness.
  • Participants below 16 years must be accompanied by Parent/Teacher/Guardian.
  • Total intake of participants per day is limited to 10 seats. Programme bookings will be taken if minimum of only 5 persons visit on a first-cum-first-serve basis.
  • Participants must have good mobility and should not require a wheelchair.
  • Pregnant women, nursing mothers or women who have had a child in the last 6 months are not permitted to take part in the programme for the safety of their health.
